Shepherd U – PUSH
May 13 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am
This is Six-Week Small Group Bible Study created by Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck, authors of “I’ll Push You.” Justin and Patrick were born in the same town a little over 36 hours apart. They grew up as best friends and have shared adventures their entire lives, in spite of extreme challenges. When Justin was 15, he was in a horrible car accident. Though he walked away, this accident triggered a dormant neuromuscular disease that has slowly robbed him of the use of most his body. Unable to use his arms and legs, Justin now lives life in a power wheelchair. In the summer of 2014, these two men undertook a journey many said was impossible. Justin and Patrick completed the 500-mile Camino de Santiago. While hundreds of thousands of individuals embark on this ancient pilgrimage each year, the journey these two men took was one of a kind. Patrick (and many others) pushed Justin in a manual wheelchair the entire way. PUSH explores many of the lessons these two men have learned both on and off the Camino. As we embrace the teachings within the pages of PUSH, we will explore the thoughts and teachings of these two men and how they impact each of us as friends, spouses, and parents. Teen Girls Bible Study 6:30 pm
Teen Girls Bible Study
May 24 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Teen Girls Bible Study @ Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church | San Antonio | Texas | United States
NEW! Teen Girls Bible Study for girls ages 13-16. “Lies Young Women Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free” will be offered for girls ages 13-16 on Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the youth room beginning March 22 through May 24. The cost for Bible study material is $15 and dinner will be provided at no cost. If you need financial assistance, please note that on the form below.  A check payable to Shepherd of the Hills can be provided the evening of the Bible study. “Lies Young Women Believe and The Truth Sets Them Free” will give teen girls the tools they need to identify where their lives and beliefs are off course. Through a nationwide survey and in-depth discussion groups, Nancy DeMoss and Dannah Gresh expose 25 most commonly believed lies by the younger generation. They share real-life accounts from some of the young women they interviewed, along with honest stories about how they’ve overcome lies they believed themselves. They get down in the trenches of the battle. Best of all, they’ll show how to be set free by the Truth. The facilitators for this new teen girls Bible study are Krista Freitag, (freitagkrista@gmail.com) Lindsay Hurt, Chloe Cunningham, Chasley Fortune, and Jackie Richter. Registration form is available in the church lobby. For additional information, please contact Alice Klement, 210-614-3742 x511. Shepherd U – PUSH 9:30 am
Shepherd U – PUSH
May 27 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am
